Protected in under a minute

  1. 1

    Install for free

Add the extension from the browser store – no account, no registration. Active in seconds.

  2. 2

    Keep browsing as usual

In the background, the radar checks every page you visit against the warning list locally – your domain never leaves the browser in plain text.

  3. 3

    Get warned in time

If a shop is on the list, an unmissable radar warning appears – red for confirmed, yellow for suspected pages, before you pay.

Protects you without spying on you

Privacy is not an add-on: the extension transmits no browsing behaviour and collects no data – everything is checked locally in your browser.

Privacy by design

The check happens locally in your browser – the domain you visit never leaves it in plain text. Only on a possible match is a 4-byte checksum prefix requested (k-anonymity, just like Google Safe Browsing).

Up to date every 4 hours

The warning list syncs automatically in the background. It contains only HMAC checksum prefixes of the fake-shop domains – the plain-text list never leaves the server.

Stops you before you buy

If you open a listed page, an unmissable radar warning immediately overlays the shop – before you enter any data. With one click you can still continue.

Confirmed and suspected

The toolbar icon shows a red “!” for confirmed fake shops and a yellow one for suspected but not yet confirmed pages – risk at a glance.

Full check on fakeshop.ai

From the warning you jump to the full report in one click – with the trust score, all checked signals and the option to report.

You stay in control

Turn protection on or off at any time, with an exception list for shops you trust. Available in German and English.

Privacy

Privacy is built in – not bolted on

Unlike many “protection” extensions, we don't sell data or build a browsing profile. The check follows the same principle as Google Safe Browsing – just for fake shops.

Local check

The domain you visit is never transmitted to us in plain text – the check happens in your browser.

k-anonymity

Only on a possible match does a 4-byte checksum prefix go out, from which no domain can be reconstructed.

No tracking

No analytics tools, no advertising cookies, no sharing. Settings stay in your browser.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is the browser extension free?

Yes. The Fakeshop AI extension is completely free to use – no registration and no hidden costs.

Are the pages I visit transmitted?

No. The check happens locally in your browser; the domain you visit never leaves it in plain text. Only on a possible match is a 4-byte checksum prefix requested – following the k-anonymity principle of Google Safe Browsing, from which the domain cannot be reconstructed.

Which browsers is the extension available for?

For Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari. The stores are being unlocked one by one – browsers not yet available are marked as “coming soon”.

How up to date is the warning list?

The warning list syncs automatically every four hours in the background. Brand-new fake shops may briefly go unwarned before their first listing.

Does the extension collect data or track me?

No. There are no analytics or tracking tools, no advertising cookies and no sharing of your browsing behaviour. Only your browser stores your settings.

What happens if I open a fake shop?

A radar warning overlays the page and the toolbar icon shows a warning sign. You can open the full report on fakeshop.ai or deliberately dismiss the warning and continue.

Can I set exceptions for trusted shops?

Yes. In the settings you can maintain an exception list (whitelist) and turn protection on or off at any time.
