Fashion is the category with the most fake shops of all, and there are solid reasons for that: a clothing range can be assembled from other people's product photos within hours, the baskets are small enough that many of those affected shy away from the effort of filing a report, and the seasonal rhythm supplies a constant stream of pretexts for alleged closing-down sales. Typical patterns are the closing-down sale of a supposedly failing long-established store, branded goods at a fraction of the usual price, product images taken from well-known retailers, and a company name in the legal notice that belongs to no traceable company. Those who order receive either nothing, or counterfeits with wrong sizes, poor fabrics and a return address whose postage exceeds the value of the goods.
